Anaesthetic Monitoring 7/18 (only £105 + VAT, full price £119 + VAT)
Monitoring anaesthetised patients is one of the most crucial aspects of a veterinary nurse’s role. This course will be suitable for nurses who wish to update or refresh their knowledge. Both basic and more advanced methods of monitoring anaesthetised small animal patients will be covered. The periods of induction, intubation and recovery will also be discussed. Common abnormalities will be covered, e.g. cardiac arrhythmias, hyper and hypocapnia, together with the action that should be taken to address them.

High Risk Anaesthesia 9/18 (only £105 + VAT, full price £119 + VAT)
This course will look at anaesthesia of canine and feline patients that are considered to be of higher than normal risk, either because of disease, age or anatomical variation. For example, anaesthesia of brachycephalic patients, geriatric, paediatric, trauma and various disease states will all be covered. Drug effects on different conditions will be discussed, as will the use of intravenous fluids. Real life case studies will be provided throughout the course

Anaesthetic Emergencies 11/18 (only £105 + VAT, full price £119 + VAT)
Everyone who is involved in anaesthesia should be able to deal with common complications. This course focuses on various emergency conditions, how and why they arise and the actions to take to try and remedy the situation, as well as any preventative measures that may be taken. Current techniques of performing CPR and resuscitation will be covered, and case studies will provide a platform for discussion
