Our understanding of canine cranial cruciate ligament disease has advanced dramatically in recent years, altering our approach to the condition in terms of both conservative and surgical management. New surgical techniques continue to be developed. The understanding of the aetiology of patellar luxation has also progressed, resulting in a changing approach to this condition.
