Eyelid disease is a relatively common occurrence in general practice. The location and structure of the eyelids means that they can be the victim of a vast array of disease entities, the clinical management of which includes surgery in many cases. An understanding of the function of the eyelids is important before considering surgery. This article reviews the surgical management of canine lid masses and conformational abnormalities, predominantly entropion.
