The Fluid Cytology course contains a selection of digital cytology cases. This is a brand-new feature, introduced for the first time in a Fluid Cytology course and in collaboration with Lacuna Diagnostics. Digital cytology allows you to visualise the smear at the computer having the same experience and freedom as sitting in front of the microscope. We strongly believe this is the best way to learn cytology as, when solving clinical cases from pictures, you are biased by the fact the pathologist has selected for you the most relevant fields. See below how a digital cytology slide looks like. After you looked at the digital cases, you will have the opportunity to watch a recorded video guided solution the tutor has prepared for you. We hope you will enjoy this new feature and you are excited, as we are, to try this for the first time in an online course!
This is how a digital slide would look like when you receive your case assignment
Vet CPD Online Tutored Courses take approximately 8 hours to complete and can be completed at your own pace and at any time over the course’s 3-week period. There are webinars to watch, downloadable course notes and cytology cases to work through, plus – what makes our courses unique – a busy clinical forum where questions and answers are posted and where delegates have access to the instructor for the duration of the course. This always generates lively discussions and the idea that no one should leave a course with any unanswered questions. At the end of the course there is a final exam plus a Certificate of Completion for your CPD records.
All our Tutored Online CPD Courses are written and taught by an expert in the relevant field. The tutor for this course is:
Francesco Cian DVM, DipECVCP, FRCPath, MRCVS RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Batt Laboratories, Coventry, United Kingdom
