How to Read a Veterinary Abdominal Radiograph

Analysing an abdominal radiograph requires a thorough knowledge of radiographic anatomy and terms used to describe normal and abnormal findings. This paper reviews image acquisition and display, normal radiographic anatomy and how to describe a lesion. The challenge of assessing radiographs for gastrointestinal mechanical obstruction is discussed.
