Clare Wilson

Clare qualified from Cambridge University Veterinary School in 2001, having also studied Biological Anthropology during her third year. Whilst working full time in mixed practice, she gained a post graduate diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from Southampton University in 2006. She became a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) in 2013 and is an Animal Behaviour Training Council (ABTC) Registered Veterinary Behaviourist and a Founding Member of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC). She has run a behaviour referral service in Warwickshire since 2007, locums in general practice, provides Continued Professional Development to the veterinary profession and is a director of CCAB Certification Limited. She has also authored articles on behaviour in the Veterinary Times, parrot behaviour chapters in the CABI publication ‘Companion Animal Behaviour Problems’ and a behaviour friendly handling chapter in the BSAVA Textbook of Veterinary Nursing. In addition to work, Clare has a busy personal life sharing her home with her partner, two sons, a lot of animals of various species and managing a large productive garden.
