Rosie Perrett

I’m a final year Anaesthesia resident at Lumbry Park Veterinary specialists. Anaesthesia has always been an enjoyable part of veterinary for me ever since I was introduced at university. I love working at our referral hospital, where the variety and complexity of cases provide constant opportunities to learn and develop. I have a particular soft spot for the feline patients and animals with plenty of personality. One of the highlights of my work is being involved in thoracotomy procedures, seeing a beating heart never fails to inspire me and reminds me why I chose this profession. I am especially interested in the perioperative care of critically ill patients, where I feel I can make a meaningful difference to their welfare while continually expanding my knowledge and skills. If you don’t find me on clinics, I’m enjoy baking and swimming as a way to relax and recharge.
